Build Your Online Business

People in the industry are always looking for information on how to grow their business and many times are looking for a new business to join.

Follow up with those leads by emailing them relevant information about the industry. You can send them emails on how they can succeed in the MLM industry or how they can have a breakthrough with the information you provide them.

Drive targeted traffic to that marketing system with content creation such as articles, blog posts, videos, podcasts, or audios. If you do what I did at the beginning, it would take you close to 7 months just to get setup and ready to receive visitors to my website.

Whatever the process you choose. Too many people forget that the reason people join a network marketing business is because of a person and not because of a company. You can either setup your own blog and put a capture page or pay someone to use their lead marketing system. The key is to keep in touch with the leads you are getting so that they can warm up to you and they can get to know you and eventually trust you.

There is a simple process to get free and targeted MLM leads online for you business. The content can be about MLM companies, leaders, news, sponsoring, success and prosperity tips. If you are a bit technical challenged then you would probably do well using a system that is already setup for you the moment you sign up with it. These are the exact steps that every successful network marketer has taken online to have a successful online MLM business.

This is one of the most neglected principles in the network marketing world. Looking back at this, it was a waste of time because I could have just as easily paid someone to have a website ready for me to drive targeted traffic to it. The way you get targeted traffic is by simply creating content relevant to the MLM industry. If you have some really good content that connects with them they may just join you in your business. The key is to point that content into one direction. Just about anything relevant to the MLM industry will work.

Create or sign up with a lead marketing system that has the ability to capture visitors' email address. Post that content in as many places as possible and point that traffic back to your marketing system that will convert your traffic into leads.

Here's a great system that has really exploded the internet  areana doesn't matter what company or mlm your part of this will triple your business . Here you go check it out http://Jayyre.STIFORPMovie.com

REVIEW: Is Home Businesses LEGIT? Insider Look.

Don't let yourself be swept away by fancy words and always judge the rationality of any project or idea before pursuing it. Another important factor to keep in mind is that you want to avoid scams and social engineering gimmicks.

In fact, you'll find that oftentimes it's far more lucrative to do something unskilled and simple online rather than to get yourself wound in tedious and low-paying endeavors. You can make a lot of money doing simple things like filling out surveys, posting blogs and even posting cute pictures of pets-but you're unlikely to become a billionaire overnight, let alone at all.

When you'll put together the information you collected online and these testimonials in one place, you'll know exactly what you can do best and hence, what plays out to be the best home business for you. Asking other people who've started up the same home business as you about their experience, the complications they faced and any tips they have, would give you a clearer picture of where you are headed.

All you need is some time set aside for understanding and developing your business, at times a few resources which are often inexpensive and you would be on the road to profound success. First, you need to figure out what you're good at-your hobbies, unexplored talents and perhaps even your career path.

Finally, you need to do research, not only through the search engine but at times in your social circle too. Sometimes it's best to follow your mind rather than your heart.  Whether you're a student yearning for a means to an easy and manageable side income, or an untapped entrepreneur looking to expend your talents into something new and convenient, the internet has got your back. When you're foraging the internet for home businesses, you'll need to have some criteria in your mind so that you don't lose yourself in the millions of search results and business opportunities you're likely to find. And how can you do that?

Although these can be good pointers for you to select a suitable home business, it is by no means the only or best way to make money online. The internet makes it very easy not only to conduct large-scale business but it is especially fertile and opportune for small businesses and moneymaking enterprises-and you don't need to put a whole of effort, too! Ways To Generate Leads Fast...For Your Home Business

A good way to ensure getting quality leads would be to hire the services of online lead generation companies. These companies can help your business grow through their expertise on lead generation methods. A business' own website can be a good lead generator if it can coax site visitors to leave their name and email address.

Good articles are often picked up by other websites and re-published with the author's bio box left intact. This is why most businesses also have a blog, so that they can easily found and indexed by search engines. Plus, blog posts are easier to maintain and can be about reviews of your own products or services.

Most end with an author's bio box that has a link to the website or product being promoted. In PPC, ads are placed on search engine pages and other websites. However, companies might not be able to track all these leads and utilize them properly. This increases the number of links and generates more leads. Instead of making a sales pitch, videos that show how to make something or how solve a problem would be better. But what are the best methods to use?

Some companies prefer to generate online leads on their own by deciding on a plan to generate leads and drive a lot of traffic to their sites. For a reasonable fee, they can help expand your customer base and keep track of all the leads that have been generated

Well written articles submitted to article directories are a popular way of getting leads these days. A blog lets you to post articles, whether long or short, to the website even without having any kind of technical knowledge. Plus, there's also the chance they will get unqualified leads.

One effective method is Pay Per Click advertising or PPC. Businesses pay a certain amount for every click made on the ad, regardless of whether a sale was made or not. Today's market is so competitive that companies have to work double time to create new leads and bring in revenue. The video is another method that's taken seriously by businesses, especially when one considers the millions of hits video sharing websites get.

These articles are often 300 to 500 words long, are informative but not focused on making a sale. This is best done by offering something valuable in exchange. Another good way of making money online is through blogs. However, this method needs to be managed carefully and one has to be able to turn that lead into a sale in order to make a profit.

One proven way to get new leads is to utilize the power of the Internet. This can be disheartening to the business since a lot of time and money were spent on false leads. Making videos is also very easy, but it should be informative. Search engines prefer sites with relevant content and fresh articles, so blogs usually get a high ranking. Businesses these days use numerous online lead generation methods to maintain a steady stream of clients.

'STIFORP Review- The insider

http://Jayyre.STIFORPMovie.com

As we all know, to stay ahead in this competitive market we must equip ourselves with the best tools available. This is why Stiforp's allowing you to take a free tour so you can see first hand what they are offering you.Fast track bonus on everyone you personally enrolled and a $2 bonus on their enrollee and $1 on your second generation enrollee. All the tools are generic and easy to implement, so you won't have to reproduce any of them to suit your niche.

Here's a sneak preview of some of the tools you get with Stiforp.  The income side of Stiforp is a 2x14 forced matrix system with what is know as a powerline attached to it, this allows their members to see exactly how many paid members have joined after them. Stiforp is a brand new Marketing System and income generator created to put marketers and their businesses ahead of their competition and also to give them another source of income. I personally feel this is a great bargain considering the amount of tools you are getting and the effect they will have on your business, and also the potential income you can earn.

I know a lot of people will be skeptical of this, in fact I would be very surprised if you weren't! The cost of all this is $49. My conclusion is this! You will also get paid a one off commission on the first three members in the powerline. $9 monthly there after. You also have the potential to earn over $2000 without ever sponsoring a sole. It is a great marketing system and business opportunity rolls into one, that will put you and your business way ahead of your competition and also give you a life time of wealth.

On top of that, you also get a 50% matching bonus on everyone you personally enrolled and the potential to earn a matching bonus down five levels deep. Landing Page Setup, Video Spokesperson on Your Site, Interactive Flash Movie Presentations, Lead Capture Pages, Autoresponder, and loads more and apparently they have got more still to come. But obviously the money really, is in the matching bonus, so it's an incentive for you to go out and enrolled as many as you possibly can. $49 for your first month and then $9. Aside form that you will also get paid a $25. The Stiforp marketing and income opportunity system is amongst the best you'll ever find on line for such a low monthly cost.

Online Branding For Yourself

It used to be that hiring was limited to who’s local and available. But the advent of the Internet and social media has really made the world smaller and more at reach. Social media has changed the way people see brands, and it has changed the way people promote and market their personal brand.
Going on a personal brand communication plan can be challenging and requires planning. You need to know your strategy step by step before executing it. It is not wise to simply jump into the game without having any idea what you really want to achieve. Important to that is the foundation – what is your personal brand?

First, it’s about getting to know yourself and what you’re all about. What do you want? What are your goals and objectives? What are your passions? What are you great at? What do you want to achieve?
Once you’ve determined these things, you can really start getting a concrete impression of what your personal brand is about and communicating this to others. The values and ethics you carry with you are just as important. You want your audience to align themselves with your brand and vision. The more your audience is able to relate with you, the better for your brand.

The relationships you have with other people also define your personal brand. No man is an island, and you really can’t survive in the real world without having any connections or doing any networking.
You know what they say: It’s not what you know, but who you know. One of the keys to a successful brand is to establish mutually beneficial relationships with others. And you really have to own these relationships – make sure that you always give your hundred percent to all the things you do, so that no one can ever say that you aren’t doing enough. And try to avoid sending a representative on your behalf – make sure that you always have the time to network and connect with people yourself.

Social media is currently the most popular tool for promoting and marketing your brand, which is why the term “social marketing” has become so popular. But always remember that you shouldn’t use it simply as a marketing tool – “social” is basically for connecting and engaging with your audience, not simply selling them your products or services.

And though content may help you engage your audience, remember that people continue to enjoy interacting with a real person, not a nameless, faceless creature. If you manage a Facebook page, for example, ensure that the people who interact with you there know who they’re interacting with. You want them to picture a face behind the brand, a real person, someone who considers them and cares about what they think.

Make your interactions more personal. Share tidbits of your personal life with them so they can relate with your personal brand. Learn more about your audience and do your best to help them as much as possible. Go the extra mile for your customers, clients or boss.

When you provide value, you’re seen as a resource. This is a much more viral tone than a sales-y one that’s constantly pitching and barking offers. There is a thin line between marketing your brand and pushing your brand down people’s throats.

If you’re just looking to sell your products and services every single day, then you’re better off using other marketing platforms and not social media. Social is about engagement. Maybe you can mix in a bit of marketing and promotions, but the main thing you should be doing in social media platforms is talking, connecting, engaging and responding to your followers. Listen to them, help them with their problems, and build a mutually satisfying relationship. Don’t be a brand who’s only determined to sell – be the brand who cares about others first.

Utilizing social media for your personal brand is definitely an excellent idea, but don’t just jump head first into your personal brand communication campaign. Make sure you plan ahead, and remember that social continues to be about engagement and connecting.

Improve your irresistible free offer. Perhaps it’s time to replace that outdated “free report” or “eBook” with an even higher value freebie to offer site visitors. As I referred to in my post about the best freebie out there – my favorite is still the Audio CD – which has huge intrinsic value because it’s a physical “thing” and you can capture mailing addresses in addition to just email addresses.

There is always something you can “launch” whether it’s a new product or program. You can also “re-launch” something you did this year that performed really well.  Think about what you can do differently this time around to make it even more engaging and worthwhile for your audience. Add more bonuses and juicier incentives to help increase sales.

Each new year is a great time to host a new topic using either a webinar or teleseminar. It can also be a perfect time to switch up the format and see what works best. Been doing a bunch of teleseminars lately? Try a webinar? Doing just webinars? Try a teleseminar. And, choose a topic that is new to your audience and see what kind of response you receive.

Connect with a new joint venture partner. Have this year be the year you establish a great partnership with a new strategic alliance or joint venture partner. Someone that you feel can really pull you and help you in a big way – while you can do the same for them. I always like to think outside the box about who to connect with – and expect something great as a result.

Create an affiliate program. Perhaps this is the year you launch an affiliate program. Affiliates are a great way to spread your message and build your list – while also supporting your sales of products or programs.Pretty much most shopping cart programs support affiliate programs and are easy to establish.

Update your website / blog. Website looking a bit outdated? Perhaps it’s time to hire a graphic designer. for that new logo you’ve been craving or hire a website developer to update your entire site. I shared how important design is when it comes to marketing online in an earlier post so don’t skimp on the important details when updating your website. First impressions matter most when designing your website.

Be more active on social media. Are you one of the folks who has a Twitter account but hardly ever uses it? Perhaps you’re wondering exactly what to post on that new Facebook fan page you created? Have this year be the year you’re more “social” on social media. Remember, you can’t be active on these social media sites unless you show up and do the work.

Start a pay-per-click advertising campaign. I’m a huge fan of pay-per-click advertising. . Whether it’s Google AdWords or Facebook ads – they convert brand new prospects onto your list and you can target very specific groups of people searching what you have to offer. Yes, you have to pay for the traffic – but – it’s definitely worth it in the long run.

Add video to your marketing. It’s 2012 and you’re still not using video in your online marketing? It’s time to jump onboard with the most powerful and effective way to connect and build trust online with visitors to your site. With the advances of technology and video equipment costs plummeting – you really have no excuse to do more video and start reaping the benefits immediately.

Generate more content. Posting to your blog only once every other week or once a month? This is the year you need to generate a ton more content – way more than you’re even doing now (unless you blog every single day.) Putting out high-content and high-value articles and blog posts is how you get new traffic as well as how to nurture the existing audience you have on your list. Content is king.

Be smart about SEO. Still don’t have a clue about search engine optimization or how it relates to your blog or website? SEO is critical for having massive success online – and can’t be ignored or overlooked anymore. Develop a comprehensive SEO strategy about how to improve your search engine rankings for your best keywords and let’s get to work.

Email your list more often Only sending the email newsletter out when you have the time for it? This is the year we get you on a consistent and frequent schedule of emailing your list all this great content you’re now generating. If you’re doing monthly now – consider bi-weekly. Sending the newsletter every other week? Let’s make it happen by sending it weekly. The more you email your list – the higher your open rates and consumption of your content – which is all good.

Well make this coming year your year..

SO Many Tools To Use Online

Sometimes in life, you kick over a rock and find a thriving colony of activity. So, too, in business. With so many tools, niches, sites, apps and platforms to look for and nurture customers, it's easy to overlook less obvious opportunities. Here are some to try.

SlideShare.net offers the ability to upload and share presentations, e-books, PDFs and webinars. It isn't exactly a backwater, but it's a bit of an undervalued spot. With 60 million visitors per month and 130 million page views, it's the world's largest professional content-sharing community and one of the top 200 sites on the web.

SlideShare is also one of the only high-traffic platforms that integrates organic and near-seamless lead generation. The network's LeadShare service requires viewers to fill out a contact form in exchange for downloading a presentation or PDF, and it encourages viewers to contact the business for additional information at various points throughout a presentation. Of course, this feature comes at a price: To enable lead-capture, you'll have to spring for a Pro SlideShare membership, which can cost $19 to $249 per month.

Well-produced product videos are a slam-dunk for increasing sales. Visitors to housewares retailer StacksAndStacks.com were 144 percent more likelyto make a purchase after seeing a product video, according to analytics technology company Kissmetrics.

Keep product videos brief--less than 30 seconds is optimal--and consider embedding calls to action in a way that's helpful and not irritating. Online catalog aggregator FlipSeek does this effectively; for example, it can make the cute shoes a model is wearing clickable, providing a direct link to the corresponding product page.

Including a brief, text-based call to action in your e-mail signature may not be the sexiest idea, but considering the volume of e-mail you are likely sending, it's a tactic worth trying. Consider integrating your blog's URL, a new e-book or some other relevant download into your e-mail signature as a way to nurture relationships with prospects. Technology like WiseStamp allows you to add dynamic content like your latest blog post to any outgoing message.

Browse the questions asked on LinkedIn and use your expertise to solve problems for others, looking for opportunities to link to your relevant product or service. But, as with most things in life, moderation is key: Don't shill your own stuff unless it truly offers a relevant solution.

Turn the most boring pages of your site (even a 404 error page!) into lead-gen opportunities. Mint.com's playful error page  shows a nerdy-looking developer saying, "Page not available. But Justin is." It goes on: "Justin is a Mint developer who likes slow cars, sharp crayons, reheated pizza and awkward silence." The page gives links to other Mint.com pages "if you're more interested in personal finance

This new kid on the social media block is worth checking out as a traffic-generating lead-gen referral tool. Visits to the invitation-only online bulletin board skyrocketed in the second half of 2011 to 11 million. Brands with compelling boards drive traffic to their own sites.

What's "pinnable" for a business looking to generate leads? Consider moving beyond product shots to include other images, infographics, videos or articles. My company's page, features vintage marketing ads as well as marketing fails, charts and stats and a board reserved for business "inspiration.

Vooza is making headway why should you care?

f you haven't heard of Vooza yet, you're missing out on a huge opportunity to buy their awesome new mobile app. Right? Or is it a free app? Wait, are they even building an app at all?

Last month, an apparently faux startup called Vooza released a series of videos that parodied the startup world -- aiming squarely at the Silicon Valley tech scene. In the videos, Vooza's "CEO" Matt Stillman and employees spoof start-up world clichés like having conceptual -- if not highfalutin -- big ideas, websites that exist in perpetual beta, going to design school and the all-important Twitter protocol.

Vooza may or may not be a real startup, and they may or may not be building a real app. The one thing they are doing is creating a ton of buzz without spending a single ad dollar By being creative.

The team responsible for Vooza saw an opportunity in the seemingly endless spawning of tech startups today and decided to capitalize on it. Online video is an extremely compelling form of media, and, with great writing, solid actors and a vast knowledge of the startup/tech industry's most recognizable buzzwords and catchphrases, you can easily grab people's only has Vooza managed to grab that attention see TechCrunch, Wired and Huffington Post articles, they've gotten people to share their hilariously ambiguous content -- successfully building an audience that isn't even sure of what they're selling. The only burning question now is, what is Vooza going to do with this audience? Actually make and sell an app? Make videos for other companies? Or will they ride the wave of comedy and create an online entertainment channel?

No matter what Vooza decides to do, their out-of-the-box thinking is a perfect example of how businesses can stand out from the crowd. They didn't create a groundbreaking medium. There are, of course, hundreds of thousands of videos made every day. Vooza simply made their funnier and refreshing. They saw a comedic opportunity in something that's relevant to large number of people, and it's paying off.

So to all the aspiring startups, entrepreneurs, current business owners, take note: Being creative will get you much further in the media, in growing an audience and in creating buzz than any Facebook or Google ad campaign ever will. Create something worth sharing, whether it's relatable, mind-blowing, or simply just clever. It's nearly impossible to pay for the type of exposure Vooza has received, and it all stems from being unique and creative.

Here's something for your business or brand

http://Jayyre.STIFORPMovie.com

Linkedin has made easier to take your business on overload..

Have you found yourself spending more time than usual on LinkedIn within the last couple of months?  I know I have.  Much of that has to do with the recent changes that the company has rolled out which has improved usability and is encouraging users to spend more time actively participating within the platform.

LinkedIn should be viewed as a tool for marketers to connect with other professionals or companies in a meaningful way, not a platform for shouting your marketing message at unsuspecting victims.

For example, you wouldn’t approach a table full of professionals at a networking event that you don’t know and open up with “Buy my B2B marketing automation software! It will save you time and money.” Talk about open mouth and insert foot. I’m sure we can all agree that a first interaction like the one mentioned above would likely squash any chance of having a meaningful interaction with your new connections.

It’s easy for us to forget best practices for interacting on social platforms.  This article serves as a refresher course for marketers looking to improve engagement on LinkedIn.

Have you ever gotten a phone call, answered it, and realized it was a pre-recorded message? Believe me, I know from experience that no matter how many times you yell back at the recording, it wont respond (or stop talking).

On the other end of that pined for LinkedIn connection is a human, and there are certain things that make them tick. It’s your job to find out just what that is.

Apply your general marketing best practices and remember that you’re in the business of getting to know people, and determining how THEY prefer to interact.  These relationships take time and effort to establish. You want to create a dialogue that is tailored to a specific individual, not broadcast a one-size-fits-all canned marketing message.

Connecting with customers individual profiles and following their company updates on LinkedIn (as well as other social networks) is a fantastic opportunity to stay up to date on any changes within the organization, and learn more about the individuals that you work with on a daily basis.

Say for example that you’re browsing your LinkedIn feed while drinking your morning cup of coffee and read that Teresa from ABC marketing (your favorite client) wrote “The heat went out in our building this week, it’s going to be a cold one!”

Chances are the next time you talk to Teresa, you’ll share that you heard her building was without heat and express concern for how she’s doing. Or better yet, send her an inexpensive but thoughtful care package from your team with a blanket and slippers to keep her warm. Sometimes it’s the small stuff that makes a big difference.

Even though we’ve discussed the dangers of blatant brand boasting, there is an opportunity to utilize LinkedIn to share information on company accomplishments. Say your team broke a record or goal you set for yourself, hired a new rock star employee, or participated in a community event that you would like to share.

Let’s face it, most people like to be recognized for their accomplishments. Sam and Rob from your Account Management team will most likely appreciate being included in an update from their boss.  This could be as simple as posting “Thank you to Sam and Rob for going the extra mile to keep their clients happy. Join our team congratulating them for a job well done!” can put a smile on the face of your employees, attract job seekers, and show prospective clients that you aren’t afraid to thank your team for having an impact.

How did you meet your circle of friends? One might venture to guess that some of them were friends of friends who were introduced to the group, and eventually you exchanged phone numbers and began seeing them more often.

LinkedIn’s privacy settings may make it difficult to connect with people within companies that you haven’t worked with previously, or met in person. Before sending out a blind connect request, see whom you might know in common. You could either ask that person if they wouldn’t mind introducing you, or mention in your invite that you happen to know someone in common.

When making first contact with someone who may not know you, try to identify a hook. Perhaps you attending the same business school and could share an anecdote about your time there, or maybe they live in San Francisco and you’ve always wanted to visit. Find a way to relate to your audience and your chances of a successful connection are much greater.

LinkedIn Groups and LinkedIn Answers contain a wealth of insight for individuals and businesses. Based on your profile preferences and connections, LinkedIn has a list of “Groups You May Like” that can be accessed directly from the “Groups” tab within LinkedIn.

If you’re an online marketer it would make sense to join groups such as “Strategies and Tips on Social Media Marketing” or “Online Marketing Professionals Group”, the options are nearly limitless.

Don’t be afraid to pose a question. Monitor and participate in groups (without being phony or overly sales focused) that have potential to open up conversations with prospective customers. Also, LinkedIn displays how active specific groups are, how many members there are, as well as if anyone within your existing network is part of the group.

Think of LinkedIn Recommendations as a place to share references with potential customers and contacts.  What do you have to show for all of your hard work?

Say your team has just landed a huge deal for your organization.  Of course you’re interested in the new revenue this will bring for your company, but you’re also going to thrive from the positive feedback your new customer shares about their experience with you.

Don’t be afraid to ask your customers if they would mind sharing a recommendation for you on LinkedIn. If they’re busy, offer to draft it yourself so all they have to do is make minor edits and post it on your profile.

Another great way to begin getting more recommendations for your work is to write great recommendations for other professionals that you have had the privilege of working with in the past. Chances are, they will likely return the favor.

LinkedIn’s new Endorsements feature allows uses to recognize connections for a particular skill set or area of expertise. It’s as simple as clicking a button, or recommending a short phrase. If you’re looking for an easy way to shine a light on the professionals in your network, endorse via this new LinkedIn feature.

When you make an endorsement of someone’s skill set, they receive a notification, which lets them know that you think that they are awesome at Social Media Strategy. Once you’ve shown a little endorsement love, you’re connections will receive a notification which encourages they do the same.

What do all of these tips teach us (other than how to network like a pro)? Whatever your goals for professional networking may be, you have to give to get.  We’ve also learned that connecting with customers can provide a wealth of insight, and inspire confidence in your work.

If you’re going to invest the time in utilizing a platform like LinkedIn, do it right. And remember, shouting marketing messages at your connections is likely to have them running for the hills, ruining any chance of a potential connection with them in the future.

The trend online maketing is going.

It’s not just about where you can sell stuff to people right now, but next month, next year, 5, 10 or more out.  That’s why I think the concept of discover, consume and engage is so important, because t transcends ideas like “social network” or “search engine” and focuses more on consumers and technologies. Will we be using a search engine like Google in 5 years? Will we be using desktop computers in 5 years? What will future social networks look like? Answers to those questions are answers to the future of marketing and customer engagement.

Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon and plenty of other large companies are innovating at amazing speed to gain control of our attention. Some are doing it through devices, some through content, others through infrastructure. A handful of companies have had a huge impact on what we do online and at the same time, new companies, start-ups and individuals are creating amazing solutions. What are you doing to see the bigger picture and what it means for your business?

Rather than jumping sequentially from one thing to the next, marketers should consider developing adaptive models that allow for rapid assimilation of new technologies and trends. As it stands, companies may adopt early with some risk, move with the crowd giving up first mover advantage or wait and see until it’s too painful not to change. The ramp up time to evaluate and adopt new technologies and trends is expensive. As an example, over $100 billion has already been invested in social business and that’s just a drop in the bucket compared to the next 5 years as companies implement enterprise collaboration platforms and social technologies.

In order to survive and thrive, I think more companies are going to evolve their ability to adapt more quickly, tune in to trends and data more efficiently and at the same time have the infrastructure and partnerships that will allow them to evolve and innovate at greater speed.

From a practical level, the new internet no longer exists on your computer as consumers and content shifts to tablet devices and smartphones. The search experience has not only become distinctly different for consumers through user innovations like Siri, interface and back-end changes but also for marketers trying to play Google’s game in achieving top search visibility.

Imagine how many more changes there will be in technology as well as with consumer behaviors in the coming year.

Facebook can be your best friend

Today, engagement is one of the most important factors in social marketing success.  The social marketing team at Single Throw regularly comes across Facebook pages with stale and boring content.  Social marketing is not a “set it and forget it” way to promote your company or brand; it needs to be monitored and updated frequently to keep the page fresh and new.  Below you will find some helpful tips on how to increase interest in your Facebook page from the Social Marketing Consultants at Single Throw

  1. Develop a social marketing strategy.  Make sure you know not only your brand, but what your target audience would be interested in.  Every post, photo, poll, and video needs to have a strategy behind it.  This strategy needs to not only be implemented on social media platforms, but should incorporate your traditional marketing plan as well. – CONSISTENCY IS KEY!
  2. Create unique and interesting content.  The main reason behind Facebook users liking your page is because they are interested in your company or brand.  The difficult part is trying to engage these fans.  The main goal of your social marketing strategy should be getting fans to like a post, answer a question, or share your content with their friends.  Without this, your Facebook page is boring and stale, and fans will eventually unsubscribe to the page. – BE CREATIVE!
  3. Fan-gated landing pages.  This gives a Facebook fan page a clear call to action. By default, Facebook automatically drives viewers to your wall and doesn’t entice them to become a fan.  Setting up a fan-gated landing page provides a message to these users inviting them to like your page before heading to the Facebook wall.  This will increase your social media audience, thus increasing engagement on your page. – CALL TO ACTION!
  4. Never automate posts or content on Facebook. There are a variety of tools that allow marketers to schedule posts ahead of time.  These tools can be very efficient and save time, however, we do not recommend using these tools on a daily basis because it can cause discrepancies.  For example, during Hurricane Irene when the entire Jersey Shore was shut down a local tourist attraction who automates content on Facebook posted, “ TGIF, Come down and enjoy a drink with us this weekend.”  Unfortunately, due to the Hurricane the entire Jersey Shore area was closed down, and visitors were told by the governor not to visit. This is a common mistake that occurs from automating posts ahead of time.  These tools should be used as a backup when someone cannot monitor your social marketing platforms.
  5. Facebook advertisements.  On a Facebook fan page, people have to proactively search for your page in order to like it.  This makes it difficult to try to gain fans who may not already know about your company or brand.  This is where Facebook advertising would come in.  When you utilize Facebook ads there are many ways you can target a certain demographic of people who could potentially be interested in your brand, product, or service. – GROW YOUR AUDIENCE!

Facebook marketing is not cut and dry!  You need to consistently monitor your Facebook page and revamp the strategy as needed.  At the end of the day, implementing these tips should help prevent your fan page from getting lost in the sauce.

Grow a Solid Business

Now if you haven’t started planning for new marketing initiatives in 2012, you still have some time left. But that time is quickly slipping away. Discover the ONE thing that will actually make a difference in your business next year.

The marketing that has gotten you this far, is NOT the marketing that will propel you forward and take you to the next level.

While most businesses have had their head in the sand the past 3 years, there is a group that has stepped up and marketed the hell out of their businesses. Those businesses are the ones that seem to defy the economy, they are the ones that have actually grown and been profitable.

Now this seems to defy logic, because if business were a direct reflection of the economy, then all businesses would be down. Know this, the same wind blows on us all, the economic wind, the political wind…the difference is the set of your sail. The difference in where you arrive in one year, three years, five years, is NOT the blowing of the wind, but the set of your sail.

As business owners you need to learn to set a better sail, you cannot count on what has worked in the past. You have to try new means of getting in front of your prospects: try harder, try longer, try new things… Your customers have changed. Have you?

First identofy who is your target audience? Instead of following what your competition is doing or listening to your teenager about social media, redefine your target by looking at your current clients. By looking at your current client you can see the type of business or customer that has stayed with you. Next would be to decide if that is who you want as your customer, if yes, then congrats, you can move on to step 2. If you found that you want different clients or customers, it’s time to define what you want, until you do that, do NOT move on.

Second now that you know who you are trying to get as clients and customers, you can start to research where they might be. No sense in starting a Facebook campaign if your target isn’t there. Yes, the internet guy just said that you don’t have to be in Facebook. Look at how you have been getting the right customers, where were they:  trade shows, referrals, partners, online, LinkedIn, cold calls?
Just about everything you can do online originated from something we do offline. Websites were just brochures, social networking came from face-to-face networking, email from snail mail, Twitter from a news wire service, webinars from actual sales presentations, nothing new, just new mediums.

Third-now–a-days marketing is all about your list and your relationship with that list, how are you capturing people’s attention, then their information so you can market to them over time? You can offer a free report, estimate, consultation, something in exchange for their Name, Email address or Mobile Number. Instead of trying to deliver your sales message all in one shot, try delivering it over time.
Study after study shows that prospects need to be touched, or see your message close to 9 times before they make a decision to go with you. Create more points to help you convert.

Fouth-This is the most important part of the process, if you cannot convert, you will be out of business. Changing a prospect to a customer is the most important part of the process. Be sure to remove all of your prospect’s objections, position yourself as the solution to their problem, and provide them with a clear vision of what it will be like using your product or services. Influence their decision by providing social proof, proof that others are using your products or services and loving it. Finally tell people what you want them to do.

Once you have a customer the best way to grow your business is to keep that customer. Period. Now the best way to keep customers and keep them happy is by providing the results they want. As you build new customers you should retain your existing customers because the best source for new customers is actually your existing customer base.

Social Trends to be on the lookout ..Whats big in 2012

Last year was a big year for social media; in December alone internet users watched, on average, 23.2 hours of video, and that’s per viewer! Google launched their new social networking platform,  Google+.  Facebook launched Timeline; the new Facebook layout, giving users access to more content than ever before and new apps that literally change the way Facebook users and brands interact. Twitter saw two big design changes, with the latest and largest change being implemented just recently.

Is your head spinning yet? Last year was marked with many social media milestones, so what can we expect in 2012? One thing’s for sure, many of us will spend the first few months of 2012 adjusting to the big changes that were made in 2011. As the social landscape continues to grow and evolve, we will have to adapt. Change is never easy, but in the social sphere, it’s is always for the better; providing internet users with new and innovative ways to connect and share information.

Launching mid-way through 2011, Google+ is still in its infancy. Early adopters took to this new social network right away, and with the launch of brand pages toward the end of 2011, many businesses have begun to work Google + into their social marketing campaigns. If you haven’t already started playing around with this new social network, now is the time to jump in. Google + isn’t just changing the face of the social sphere, it’s changing the way Google works entirely.

Although Google + hasn’t quite surpassed its competitors, Facebook and Twitter, it has certainly made its mark on the social scene. Now with over 90 million users, Google + is taking the web by storm and Google is making sure it stays that way. Google search results are now loaded with Google + pages. Users searching within Google can “+1” similar to Facebook’s “Like” content directly from their search results. Google + also features full YouTube integration, allowing users to watch and share videos with people in their “Circles” (a way to group your contacts on Google +).

Additionally, Google just rolled out their new “Search, plus Your World” functionality which shows users search results from the web, along with “personal results” that are pulled from the user’s photos, posts and other content shared among their friends.

To say Google + is a trend to watch would be an understatement. As a business, large or small, having a YouTube channel and a Google + brand page is now a requirement. If you want to stay afloat, keep up with the competition and ensure you’re still ranking highly within Google’s search result, create and start posting content to a Google + brand page for your business. Couple this with a stellar YouTube channel if you haven’t already jumped on that bandwagon and you’ll be sure to please Google’s new search algorithm.

Early adopters have already shared tons of content, both publically and within their Circles, and they’re ranking highly in Google’s search results. Google + is the best way to future-proof your social marketing campaign in 2012. When (not if) Google + really steps up and joins the ranks of the other power players in the social sphere, you will be one step ahead of the game.

This may be the year of Google, but video is also a key player in 2012.  This may be a lofty claim, but there’s something to be said about this statistic when it’s coming from the world’s #1 video site and 2nd largest search engine (youtube). Data recently released by comScore Video Metrix stated that 182 million U.S. Internet users watched online video content in December 2011; an average of 23.2 hours per viewer. We’re constantly seeing statistics like YouTube streams 4 billion online videos each day and the numbers just keep getting higher. With information, video content and social networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google + at the fingertips of smartphone users across the globe, it’s no wonder so much video content is being viewed. Be prepared to watch millions of videos in 2012!

By now you’ve certainly heard of Pinterest, but you’re probably asking yourself, “what the heck is it?” Pinterest is a social photo sharing site and smartphone application. Users create their own boards where they “pin” photos from across the web. You can pin just about anything; photos of food with new recipes attached, the latest looks in fashion, beautiful landscapes from places you’d like to travel, home décor and the list goes on. Social media moguls at Mashable have even started pinning with boards like “Tips and Tricks,” “Web Humor” and “Best of CES.”

So why is this a trend to watch? Pinterest may not seem like much of a social network just yet, but their growth in the past 6 months has been astounding! According to Experian Hitwise Data, Pinterest is now one of the top 10 social networking sites, receiving 11 million visits the week ending December 17, 2011; a 4,000 percent increase from just 6 months prior.

Current Pinterest stats reveal that the social site mostly appeals to women, but you’ll find favorite branded accounts like The Today Show, Martha Stewart, West Elm, Travel Channel and more are already pinning and winning. If you’re not already on Pinterest, make it a point to at least check it out. Who knows? Maybe you’ll start pinning today!

Now if that doesn’t get you pumped for 2012, I don’t know what does! Between new social networks like Google + and Pinterest along with the rise of video sharing, 2012 promises to be a big year for social media users and social marketers everywhere.

WHO SHOULD YOU TARGET

Anyone in sales, regardless of whether they sell a product or a service, understands that their priority is to get shoppers “out of market” as quickly as possible.

An out of market shopper has crossed shopping for your product or service off of their To Do list.  They’re no longer shopping— they’ve chosen to buy from you.

Much of today’s marketing especially internet marketing focuses on quantity over quality.  It’s the number of leads you have, rather than the quality of leads you generate.  Unfortunately, while this may be the path of least resistance—it’s easy to herd cattle, after all—it’s not the most effective.  It’s much harder to pick a single cow out of a herd.  But what’s more cost effective?  Getting that one lead to become a conversion, or driving tons of traffic to your site, which in turn could just bog down your website?

It doesn’t take talent to put a message in front of someone who might, someday, need your product.  Anyone can do that.  It takes talent to target in market leads from the start.  Marketing success should be measured by the percent of in market shoppers who become out of market shoppers due to your efforts.  Given that in market leads have a higher closing ratio, they are, by default, much more valuable.  It’s worth the extra effort and expense of targeting them, and it’s time to start ding jst that.

Any marketing campaign can be refocused to target in market leads with some sales centric thinking.

Banquet halls and bridal shops can put a Facebook ad in front of women who have recently changed their status from “in a relationship” to “engaged.” (Not sure what you’re in market for if your status is “it’s complicated.”)
Medical alert companies can use targeted seo to appear in front of those looking for advice about caring for a loved one with dementia

The possibilities are endless.
With a little bit of extra time, some additional thought, and real marketing talent, you can break the barriers of what passes for success in your industry and actually connect with those that need your services right now—the in market shoppers.

Marketers can use video in just about every aspect of a marketing campaign; your social media marketing campaign may include sharing videos from youtube. while you’re email blasts may contain a video message from you. You can find many benefits in using video to bring their story to the masses, put a face to their name and to influence potential, present, as well as past customers.

Why Video?

Youtube is still 2nd behind Google. This means, if your customers aren’t searching for you on Google, they’re looking for your videos on YouTube. With the rise of “prosumer” video cameras and user-friendly editing software, everyone has the ability to shoot, edit and share videos with ease. With that being said, video quality really runs the gamut. Creating high quality video that will set you apart from the cookie-cutter picture slideshows and hand-held iPhone videos is the first step to success in video marketing..

Marketing in the Internet world is extremely visual. The best way to explain the difference between you and your competitors is to show it. Convincing potential customers to purchase your product.

So you want to get ahead of the curve?

With video, you have the power to tell your story and let people know what sets you apart from the others. Video offers you a chance to show and tell potential customers exactly why they shouldn’t shop anywhere else.

Hire a professional Any video is better than no video, right? Wrong. Having a good set of highly produced videos will certainly set you apart from the “do-it-yourselfers” and the rookies churning out picture slideshows and home movie-style videos. It takes a certain level of video quality to garner the type of attention you want for your brand and your business, so make an effort to put more of your marketing money into videos that are far superior to those of your competitors.

Start thinking more visual. Once you’ve got some great videos under your belt, you’re ready to move mountains when it comes to every aspect of your overall marketing srategy. Here's another tool which is essential to your marketing campaign and branding yourself.

Telling your business story is becoming more and more important as a way to connect with consumers. They are interested in why you are a business and what you stand for. There are many ways to tell your story, and the more ways you allow consumers to get to know you and your business the more likely they are to purchase from you.

One easier way to show your potential customers who you are is through your website. A about us page on your website is always a good idea as it gives customers the option to learn more about your business. There is also a good amount of content on that page which helps with search engine optimization as well. Including visuals such as photos and video on your About Us page will help in connecting with your customer even more.

In early 2012 Facebook made some major layout changes to Business Pages, introducing the Timeline feature. Using this, you can tell the story of your business throughout the years. Using what Facebook calls “Milestones” you can ill out your Timeline with pertinent information and photos about your business. Say you expanded to a new building or added a new product, add them to your Timeline.

One of the best ways to tell the story about your business is through the use of video marketing. Youtube is the second largest search engine in the world which means consumers love to watch videos. Using video is a great way to make a first impression with a customer before they even purchase from you.  I use these videos to connect with my clients and potential clients on a more personal level, and you can do the same. Video allows your customers to know, like and trust you, because they are “meeting” you on your website or social network before meeting you in person.

The other great aspect of using video marketing is it is yours and yours alone. Your competitors are less likely to use your video for their own business because it has you in it, not them. Your video is completely unique to your business and your story and is really the only piece of content that you can put out there that is yours.

However you choose to tell your story, remember it is an important part of your internet marketing strategy. In today’s hyper-connected world, consumers are looking to connect with the businesses they purchase from. They want more than just a name or product and are looking beyond the surface to connect with the business that sells to them. So, go on, tell your story.
